CrossFit Kids for pre-teens is not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit, it is entirely absolutely CrossFit geared and designed for a special population and the specific developmental needs of the pre-teenage population.
Our pre-teen program is supervised by the co-founder of CrossFit Kids himself, Jeff Martin, one of ten people worldwide to be recognized by CrossFit founder, Greg Glassman, as a CrossFit Coach. The rest of the pre-teen training staff are amongst the most experienced and qualified training staff on the planet, with two trainers on the CrossFit Kids HQ Seminar Staff, travelling each weekend to instruct new trainers in the CrossFit Kids methodology.
The pre-teen program teaches proper form and mechanics in functional and athletic movements in classes that are different every day. Each child is instructed at his to her level, allowing each individual to experience challenge and reward every class. CrossFit trains pre-teens to be generally physically prepared, encompassing all ten general physical skills (strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, stamina, speed, agility, power, cardiovascular endurance, and accuracy). In doing so, our training prepares them for excellence in sport, and more importantly, in life.
Our pre-teen classes cover ages 9 to 13 and include a dynamic warm up, skill development, a workout, and skill development to finish it off. Each class lasts approximately 30 minutes long.
